Can I play a game requiring a higher firmware on my psp without updating the custom firmware?

I am currently on 3.71 m33-3 and I wonder whether or not I can play a game requiring a higher firmware by patching it or by using some sort of firmware emulator. I also wonder how I can patch a game requiring a higher firmware version for my firmware version.|||yes

BUT, youll need to decrypt your ISO/CSO image which is a waste of time cause you have to do it to every game

google patching 5.50 games

its really retarded you have to extract the ssyr image as a text, recomplie it, remove the update, patch it,recompile your patched game.

its really annoying and for every game

get CFW 5.50GenDv2 it allows you to play game backups up to version 6.00.

(3.71M33-3 man your old school, you need to upgrade)

if your worried about loosing your plug-ins and stuff don't worry about it they have all been updated for 5.50.

(i used to have cfw 5.00M33-6 and was worried about upgrading to a new cfw too but trust me its better)

Dark-Alex isn't making his M33 cfw anymore since rumor has it Sony paid him to stop making them, got dam back stabber....-_-.

well yeah theres a new team called GEN and theyre making a new CFW.

it has better compatibility so i would suggest upgarding....

any questions about psp, cfw, homebrew just e-mail and ill be glad to help, ive helped people before but thru e-mails.|||No you wont be able, In order to play the latest games that require a higher firmware such as OFW 5.55 and 6.00 , You will need to upgrade to PSP Custom Firmware 5.03 Gen-B atleast to play those games.

Feel free to Download From Here PSP CFW 5.03 Gen-B http://pspcustomfirmware.com/psp-custom-鈥?/a>|||My PSP is running on custom firmware 5.50 GENB (Full) and it's able to play the newer games running on 6.10 official firmware. All you have to do is upgrade your firmware to 5.50 GENB(Full) and then download ISO files that are already patched or fix and is playable for this cfw.|||It might work but to make sure it works update to 5.50 GEN-D2.

Google it.
